Exit A1 onto A1231 toward Washington/Sunderland. At the roundabout take 4th exit doubling back on A1231. At the roundabout take 2nd exit. After 0.7 miles turn right onto Birtley Lane. After 0.5 miles Birtley Golf Club is on the left.
From A1 South:At junction 63 take A167/A693 exit to Chester-le-Street/Stanley. At the roundabout take 4th exit onto Picktree Lane. After 1.4 miles turn left onto Vigo Lane. Take 1st right. After 0.6 miles turn left onto Birtley Lane. After 0.5 miles Birtley Golf Club is on the left.
